FOUNDERS

SAUDARA is a ceramics studio dedicated to creating handcrafted, high-fire objects designed to enrich everyday rituals. Our work centers on clay, honoring ancestral techniques while engaging with the needs and sensibilities of the contemporary world. We hold deep respect for the time, attention, and dedication this material demands to undergo its transformation. Staying close to the clay invites us to slow down and find calm in a world defined by immediacy.

This project was born from the inspiration of Ivana and her mother, María, who has always held a deep love for Mexican craftsmanship. That admiration for the beauty of handmade artistry has woven a special bond between them, becoming a shared language that celebrates the history, sensibility, and value of every detail.

We firmly believe that work created in Mexico is imbued with care and intention, and that clay is far more than a mere material: it embodies memory, identity, and a way to preserve the craft of generations of artisans. Through our collections, we seek to honor their origins by highlighting the richness of handmade processes, natural textures, and the unique marks that make every object one-of-a-kind. We value pieces that accompany us in our daily lives—objects that gather meaning over time and invite us to engage more consciously with the spaces we inhabit and the people with whom we share them.
